Practice :: Business

My representation of you and your business is personal, ongoing and continuous throughout the course of our lawyer-client relationship. I tackle problems without delay. I listen to you. I get the facts. I investigate. I research your problem. Then, I develop and discuss my strategy and tactics with you, giving you the pros and cons of litigation, an estimate of my fees and costs, and the likelihood of success and what that entails.

I have represented a wide range of corporations, LLC’s, partnerships, trusts and other business entities, in and out of court. I have handled all sizes of businesses, from mom and pop to middle-sized and Fortune 500 companies, including banks and insurance companies, both public and private. I have represented both plaintiffs and defendants, so I have the ability to see and evaluate problems from both sides. I can understand and analyze your business, including its operations and financial circumstances. I know how important it is to you.

Whether the problem arises out of the purchase, sale or operation of a business, or involves monies paid, owed or loaned, and whether the dispute concerns goods, services, employment, shareholder rights or any other aspect of business, I handle it.

A good part of what I do is counsel my clients on how to properly and legally handle their affairs and business dealings, before and during the course of their lawsuit. It is often typical for people and businesses to act without first seeking legal assistance or advice, and that failure is the cause of much business litigation. So, if I have the opportunity to counsel a client before a business transaction occurs (for example, before a contract is signed or money is paid), then I can try to prevent or cure problems without litigation. If not, and a lawsuit ensues, those same problems will evolve and change over time, as the litigation goes on. It is then that I try to guide the case and your conduct by using my knowledge and experience, all with an eye on achieving success.
