Practice :: Contracts

A tremendous amount of civil litigation involves contracts, because they are the building blocks of business, and are involved in our daily lives in countless ways. There is an old saying in the law that contracts are made to be broken, and things do go awry, intentionally or not.

I have analyzed and litigated countless contracts, and have handled hundreds of cases involving a broad array of businesses of all sizes. It is often complex work which requires the legal ability to understand the various contract provisions, terms and conditions at hand. And it is evolving. Today, an increasing number of contracts have clauses which require arbitration of all disputes, out of court, while other contracts prohibit jury trials in court. There is simply no limit to the types of contractual claims and disputes that can and will arise, but I have seen and handled so much over 26 years, that I feel very confident each time I have to analyze another contract and recommend a course of action.
